Ages 25+

The STEP programme is for people over the age of 25 years, funded by the European Social Fund.

STEP is an employment programme joint funded by the European Social Fund, to help people within Leeds into employment. Initially there will be an assessment to help assign you to the most appropriate provider. The provider will then help and support you. This support includes:

The support will be tailored to your individual needs and job aspirations.

In order to be eligible to participate in STEP there are a few criteria that you need to meet. You have to be based within Leeds, over 25 years old; you must have not been in paid employment for the past 6 months or more and have the right to work in the UK. You must also be able to commit your time to the programme for 12 months after you begin with STEP.

Assessment at Aspire-Igen

The assessment consists of an information session where you will learn more about STEP and how we can help you. There will be an informal group exercise, a numeracy and literacy assessment and a 1-1 session with a key worker. In total, all of the exercises will take between 2 and 3 hours to complete.

You can also discuss your CV and experiences with job searching. All of the information you give us will then be used to help determine which provider would suit you best!
